Eric Gamble has 15 years of experience with companies such as IBM, Oracle and hi-tech start-ups. With a background in the areas of process reengineering and database management he held a variety of senior sales, systems engineering and application consultant positions. He also was a founding member of two venture capitalist funded start-up companies, a software development company specializing in Decision Support and Web Enabled Business Systems as well as a metropolitan fiber-optic network company.

 

Mr. Gamble joined Johnson & Wales University full-time in 2002 and is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Business teaching finance, entrepreneurial and management courses.  He has a B.S. in Technology and a MBA in International Business from Johnson & Wales University.

Dawn Lopez earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Winthrop University, as well as an M.B.A. in accounting and finance.  After graduating, Lopez worked for a regional public accounting firm, specializing in tax preparation for medical and law LLCs.  Subsequently, Lopez served as an accounting manager for a multi-state environmental company and worked closely with several state government audit agencies.

 

In February of 2004, Lopez joined JWU where she became the campus’ first Campus Controller and an integral member of the campus start-up team.  She provided guidance to the campus leadership team, coordinated accounting and audit functions with the university finance team, and was instrumental in developing many of the financial policies and procedures that still exist today.  Lopez joined the College of Business as a full-time faculty member in 2009 and is an active member of Institute of Management Accountants.

Mo Moshtaghi has business experience in the areas of controllership, hotel management and marketing and has consulted with construction, real estate, land and hotel development companies in accounting. He has thirty years of academic experience at Johnson & Wales University, The Citadel and The University of South Carolina. At Johnson & Wales University Mr. Moshtaghi has held numerous positions, including Department Chair of Business and Math and Director of Student Life and Activities. He earned a BS in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from The Citadel.

Marcia Vinci has been with a variety of organizations such as Deloitte & Touche, The Hartford Insurance Group, The Travelers and several academic institutions.  She has held numerous positions in the areas of auditing, financial analysis, business systems analysis, controllership and academia.

 

Mrs. Vinci has extensive teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate college level and has been on the business faculty at Central Connecticut State University, Saint-Joseph College (Connecticut), Capital Community-Technical College (Connecticut), the University of North Carolina Charlotte and Central Piedmont Community College in addition to Johnson & Wales University.  Mrs. Vinci is a high-energy professor that stimulates lively discussions and brings current business issues into the classroom.

 

She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford where she earned a master’s degree in accounting.
